For the grandparents of XIII Latvian School Youth Song and Dance Festival participants, their music collection was CDs or a computer file labelled “Music”, for their parents it was a list of favourited songs on YouTube, and they themselves have their playlist on the Spotify app.
Participants of the Folk Music Concert have also created their collection of favourite folk songs: a list of songs they will present through A Grand Sound. The concert will feature folk songs and arrangements which fit the Festival and concert’s concept, confirming that Latvia’s ancient singing, dancing and music-making traditions are being continued and held in high honour.

The folk music concert A Grand Sound will feature small music groups: children’s and young people’s vocal and instrumental ensembles, as well as folk bands from throughout Latvia.
